Hey Friends!
I have big news today! I have been doing a lot of brainstorming about how to integrate Social Media into my film’s premiere in new and exciting ways. I really want to show people how influential Social Media is now in our culture so I spoke with some of my social media friends and they will be helping me the night of the premiere to make this not only a special night for the youth movement of America, but also a historic night in the life of Social Media!
I'm turning my film premiere at the Los Angeles Film Festival into an official tweet-up! This has never been done before in Twitter’s short history and I think once we pull this off this Thursday then it will be a trend that the film industry jumps on to.
I have invited a number of HUGE tweeters to my premiere and Stef Michaels w/ over 630,000 followers (@AdventureGirl) will be there so there will be one of twitter’s suggested users involved in this historic night! It will also be Stef’s birthday that day so don’t forget to wish her a happy birthday!
I've also been doing a lot of work with Causecast.org. They will be doing a LIVE SIMULCAST from the red carpet of my premiere. I will be directing all of my social networks to that simulcast as well which I think will really help show people how I'm trying to use social media in new and exciting ways.
I've created a #hashtag for my film & for this the event: #TYC.

I've been tweeting out #TYC for the last few months and have a dedicated following of #TYC tweeters who are very excited about Thursday. It think if we do this correctly then I can get possibly get #TYC to trend on Thursday night which would be so cool!

Using Social Media is a brand new way for people to connect and network with each other. I hope that events like this will help show people just how important Social Media has become to our society.
