At eighteen, I may be the youngest city council candidate in New York City history, but I want to transform our political system so it can involve New Yorkers of every generation.
The Obama campaign brought in unheard of numbers of new and young voters, and I want to keep them involved in our political process so we can change it for the better. Too much of New York City politics operates under a system that is designed to preserve incumbency regardless of its effectiveness. I believe that's because too many young people feel left out.
Through my campaign, I'd like to find a way to alter that by conducting a grassroots campaign, open to candidates of all kinds, and ensure real change in the future.
