One of the most successful youngest candidates in America today has announced that he will run for mayor for a 2nd term! Christopher Seely was originally elected mayor of Linesville, PA when he was only 18 years old! Now he will run again to serve the citzens of Linesville. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: SEELEY ANNOUNCES RE-ELECTION BID
Linesville Mayor Christopher R. Seeley today announced his bid for re-election. "After giving it lengthy thought and discussing it with friends, constituents, and supporters, I have decided to pursue another term as Mayor of the Borough of Linesville. After nearly four years in the trenches of Linesville Borough government working with my friends and colleagues, we see numerous successes and progress. There is still, however, work to be done. I hope to be given the opportunity to continue to promote the interests of those who live, work, and play in Linesville," stated Seeley.
Seeley, a graduate of Linesville High School and Junior at Allegheny College, has served as past president and numerous other roles in the Crawford County Young Democrats and currently is in his second term as the Northwest Regional Coordinator of the Pennsylvania Young Democrats, an area spanning six counties in Northwest Pennsylvania. Seeley's other memberships include being a Board member of the Linesville Area Crime Watch, a Borough representative to the Linesville Chamber of Commerce, as well as the National Rifle Association and National Wild Turkey Federation.
The role of Borough Mayor in Pennsylvania is oversight of the police department, casting a tie vote on Borough Council, approval of all ordinances and resolutions, and numerous other ceremonial duties. Seeley will be seeking his second four-year term in the May Primary.
